報告簡介：
In this talk I will first describe my general understanding of computer vision, including its history and some recent breakthroughs. After that, I will introduce the research results from my group, ranging from traditional vision research topics such as shape analysis, image matching, visual tracking, to some new topics such as visual privacy protection, as well as some application-driven topics related to medical image analysis and image/video based driving assistance.
報告人介紹：
凌海濱博士于1997年和2000年畢業(yè)于北京大學，分別獲得學士和碩士學位，之后于2006年在美國馬里蘭大學帕克分校獲計算機科學博士學位。博士畢業(yè)后，于2006~2007年在加州大學洛杉磯分校做博士后。凌博士在2001年任微軟亞洲研究院助理研究員，2007~2008年任西門子研究院研究員。從2008起任職于美國天普大學（Temple University），現(xiàn)在為計算機系副教授。另外，凌博士是亮風臺科技的共同創(chuàng)始人并擔任其首席科學家。主要研究領域為計算機視覺、模式識別、人機交互和機器學習等。已經在T-PAMI、IJCV、T-IP、CVPR、ICCV、ECCV、AAAI和MICCAI等多個國際權威雜志和頂級會議上發(fā)表論文70余篇，在形狀識別，視覺跟蹤等方面的研究工作產生了重要的國際影響（Google Scholar引用>4800）。近年來主持或共同主持了十多項美國國家自然科學基金和國防部研究項目。獲2003年度ACM UIST最佳學生論文獎，2014年度美國自然科學基金CAREER Award。任CVPR 2014和CVPR 2016年的領域主席（Area Chair），和Pattern Recognition大數(shù)據(jù)視覺識別特刊的客座編輯。
